Tips

Starting out with cargo ships enabled

If you are playing with the intention of using cargo ships, It is suggested that you stay near the starting location or place a beacon there. As of 01.063.008 it seems like npc ships only spawn in the vicinity of the starting point. If you venture too far from first spawn, you will be out of their broadcast range.
